Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust back at Reading Pride
On Saturday 2 September we took part in Reading Pride’s annual parade and celebration, and we are incredibly proud to have been involved.
Over 50 members of our staff volunteered at the event, helping out at our pop-up health space PrideInU, carrying out activities such as community engagement, health checks and promoting the Trust as a positive employer. Our Sexual Health and Patient Experience teams were also on hand to speak to attendees and share information about our services.
Promoting our health and wellbeing services from Talking Therapies to Op Courage, the event gave us an opportunity to celebrate the value of being an inclusive organisation brings, connect with the local community with whom our Trust serves, and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ members within our local area.
We are committed to treating all within our community with the respect and dignity that they deserve, and we were grateful to spread awareness of the services we offer individuals within Berkshire at this year’s Pride.
