Dr Tolu Olusoga is our new Medical Director
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Tolu Olusoga as our new Medical Director.

Tolu joins us with extensive experience in clinical leadership and patient care. He began his medical career in Nigeria, earning his degree in 1999 from the University of Lagos, before moving to the UK to complete an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at University College London in 2002.
Since joining the NHS in 2003, Tolu has worked across a range of senior roles, gaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2006 and becoming a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults in 2010.
Most recently, he served as Group Medical Director for the North Yorkshire-York Care Group at Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, where he played a key role in service development and quality improvement.
Tolu is passionate about delivering outstanding care for patients and supporting staff to achieve their best. He said:
"I am excited to get to know our teams and the communities we serve. My focus is on ensuring our patients receive the highest standards of care and supporting colleagues to achieve our shared goals."
We are thrilled to welcome Tolu to the Trust and look forward to his leadership in shaping the future of our services.
Tolu’s appointment follows the recent announcement that Medical Director, Dr Minoo Irani, will be retiring in March 2025.
