Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS) has announced plans for a custom-made centre for health in Bracknell.

Published 22 May 2024

A planning application has been submitted to Bracknell Forest Council for a three-storey development to be built next to the existing Skimped Hill Health Centre.

The new premises will house Evergreen Practice and Forest Health Group, as well as maternity services and some children’s and young people’s services and community services.

The project is part of a national drive to boost community-based healthcare services, providing funding to bring services together in the same place. With better local services, the intention is that people can receive treatment more quickly, nearer home, reducing the need for them to go to hospital.

Subject to planning approval, it is hoped that building work will begin in July 2024, with completion of the build in early Spring.

You can view the planning application and provide feedback on Bracknell Forest Council’s website.
