Veteran's support service
Our Liaison and Diversion team provides support to UK veterans, regular and reserve - including those who have served in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary - involved in the judicial system, either with the police or the courts.
We’ll assess your needs to see how we can support your mental, physical and personal health and wellbeing as you make your way through the justice system.
Veterans may have different needs to the general public. We’ll identify any vulnerabilities you might have and put you in touch with organisations who can support you with:
- Accommodation
- Finance, debts and benefits
- Physical and mental health
- Drug or alcohol misuse
- Children, families and relationships
- Mental and emotional help
- Abuse, rape and domestic violence
- Education, training and employment
- Gambling
We can help you to make a self-referral to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA), a UK charity which provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents.

Our Veterans’ Services support people from the Armed Forces in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight, who are experiencing challenges on discharge.
These may be mental health difficulties, problems adjusting to life out of the armed forces, including housing, finances and employment and difficulties accessing services. We also provide support to families of service people and their carers.
