Translation and Interpretation

We can provide language translation and interpretation support when you visit and contact us.

Tell our staff which language you prefer to use.

Our teams will find the right help for you during your assessment and treatment.

You can ask for language support when you visit us at hospital, and when we visit you at home.

Let your GP or carer know which language you prefer to use.

They will add this to your care record for other doctors and nurses to see.

Spoken Language and Sign Language

We work with DA Languages and Remark! to provide language and sign language support for our services.

DA Languages provide general interpreting for our services in up to 250 different languages, both spoken and written.

Remark! are a deaf run community who provide support for people communicating with British Sign Language (BSL).

Prospect Park

Prospect Park Hospital is our main site for people in Berkshire with mental health conditions.

We have several inpatient wards, including a specialist dementia ward, and a specialist unit for people with learning disabilities.

We have multi-lingual DVDs, which explain your rights as a patient under the Mental Health Act.

Visiting Prospect Park

We work with DA Languages, who provide interpreting support when you are talking to our services on the phone.
