The Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test is your opportunity to give us feedback about your experience with our services.

It asks you whether you’d recommend our service to a friend of family member who needed treatment and, with a few follow up questions, can help us make important improvements to our services and the experience of our future patients.

Completing the Friends and Family Test

You can fill out our feedback card (in some services, we’ll send you a text instead) and any feedback you leave will stay anonymous. If, however, you’d like someone to get in touch with you, please leave your contact information.

Depending on which service you are part of, you’ll be offered the opportunity to answer the Friends and Family Test at different times:

  • On the day or within 24 hours of your discharge from one of our community or mental health wards
  • At each appointment if you attend a clinic-based service
  • At the point of your discharge, if you’re with one of our services for less than three months
  • Every three months if you’re being seen by a service for longer than three months

We are always looking for people to be involved in Berkshire Healthcare in a different ways e.g. through volunteering or taking part in forums or committees.
