Colin at our Chaplaincy

Colin at our Chaplaincy

Colin has been volunteering with our Chaplaincy service for some time now, and his experience and compassion has been critical in helping some of our most vulnerable patients during the COVID-19 outbreak.

When lockdown began, Colin took up the role of making ‘wellbeing calls’ to those who were shielding or have limited support networks. He gave each patient referred to him a weekly call to check in, make sure they’re coping ok, and give them a chance to talk and feel connected to the outside world.

Not only did this help our patients, it helped reduce the extra pressures on our Trauma and Crisis Resolution Home Treatment teams when we need it most.
