Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Nurse receives prestigious Queen’s Nurse title
We are proud to announce that Karen Jacobs, Interim Service Lead for School Nursing (West), has received the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse by The Queens’s Nursing Institute (QNI).
This title is awarded to individuals who have a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership.
We’re fortunate to have a number of Queen’s Nurses at Berkshire Healthcare, and Karen now joins this fantastic group, who consistently show enthusiasm and passion for the care they provide their patients and our local community.
On receiving the title, Karen said: “The application process is tough and not one to be undertaken lightly so I was absolutely thrilled to find out I was successful and subsequently invited to attend the QNI annual awards ceremony in London to receive my title. It was a very humbling experience to be amongst some incredible nurses who go above and beyond in their role in order to provide the best care possible to their patients and communities.”
