Happy Trans Awareness Week!
This week is Trans* Awareness Week (TAW) which is dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. It is an opportunity to raise the visibility of transgender people and address issues that members within the transgender community face on a daily basis.
Trans awareness week culminates in Trans Day of Remembrance, which will take place on Sunday 20 November. This is an annual observance that honours the memory of those whose lives have been lost due to acts of anti-transgender violence.
At Berkshire Healthcare, it is our priority to ensure the Trust is an inclusive, welcoming, and safe space for all, a place where everyone is treated with respect and a place where everyone can be their true self.
