Jasmine’s journey from dentist to COVID-19 swabber
Jasmine Davey - pictured with Emma Peckham and Emma Jolliffe - is one of our dentists for the Community Dental Service based at West Berkshire Community Hospital. She's been working for us since 2016.
She was redeployed at the beginning of April to work as a swabber at West Berkshire Community Hospital, alongside other members of the dental team. This involves swabbing NHS staff who have symptoms of coronavirus at a drive through test centre.
Jasmine shared her experience with us, “I was relieved to be redeployed to this role, as firstly it is close to home and secondly, I have the necessary skills for the role.
“Being redeployed has been a positive experience - the team I am working with have been very welcoming and helpful and I feel like I am doing something useful. I have been provided with all the necessary PPE and I feel safe in my new role.”
