Our award winning Diabetes service

We have been presented with three awards by charity X-PERT Health after seeing impressive results for our patients attending our diabetes education sessions, run in conjunction with them.

We won first place in the 'largest impact on body weight and waist circumference' and 'greatest improvement in glycated haemoglobin' categories.  We were also second in the 'greatest number of participants to attend’.

Our courses are run to help patients make lifestyle changes which can have a huge positive influence on their health. They also help patients reduce the financial burden they can face with the condition.

Jan Durrant, our Head Of Community Diabetes Services said: "I am so proud of all of the team, these awards show the dedication and hard work that they all put in to co-ordinate the programme and make sure we are an –award winning centre. We were winners last year too, so this is a fantastic achievement.”
