Vote now to help Jon win ‘pawsome’ accolade

Jon Giemza-Pipe, our armed forces lead and lived experience lead with Op Courage, our mental health service for military veterans, is up for the ‘Animal Partnership award’ in the national Soldiering On Awards.

In 2016 Jon was medically discharged from the Army after a 22 year career in the Royal Artillery and he really struggled with his mental health.

Jon says: “Baxter is my best friend. I think it’s a recognition of how a dog can be so pivotal in helping me to achieve what want to do. He’s always there. He’s my biggest help. He keeps me very grounded and I’m so grateful to the charity Canine Partners for that - to allow me to do a job I absolutely adore, helping other veterans to address their mental health.”

Add your vote on the Soldiering On awards website by Sunday, 6 August 2023.
