Join as an NHS reservist
The NHS Reserve is a team of trained, paid workers that we can call on in times of need.
There’s a wide range of paid roles available, both clinical and non-clinical, matched to your experience and flexible to your availability. This could include working within community, mental health, and inpatient settings.
- Commit just 30 days (225 hours) per year
- Training and development for all roles
- Get involved at reservist community events
- Help us provide outstanding care across the trust
You will be part of a Reservist community, working with like-minded people, undertaking meaningful work, and helping patients in your local community.
What roles can I do
The roles will differ and depending on the demand, surge times and the roles available at Berkshire Healthcare.
The key reservist opportunities in our areas are:
- Reservist Clinical Professional
- Reservist Administrators
- Reservist Ward Ambassador
You don’t need NHS experience to join. We have a variety of roles which do not require NHS experience, and training is provided.
