Lived Experience Advisory Panels (LEAPs)
Lived Experience Advisory Panels (LEAPs) are diverse groups of people sharing their perspectives on how our services can better serve everyone.
You may be sharing insights from your own experience of local health services, or the experiences of someone you’re caring for.
This will include discussion around how we can make services more inclusive and accessible to people from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of needs.
For example, you may have felt excluded from, or struggled to access, health services when you needed them most.
LEAPs is led by our Lived Experience Project Lead and colleagues with their own lived experience of service use.
These colleagues are already part of the Berkshire Healthcare Lived Experience workforce, who are working to make service user and carer voices heard.
How you can help
Your insights and ideas are valuable to us.
As a Panel member you can participate as much or as little as you like in different ways, such as:
- Answering a questionnaire
- Attending a video call
- Taking part in our meeting or workshops
As well as improving our services, you can also claim payment for your time and expenses.
We are committed to making LEAPs accessible. We can offer translation and interpretation support, and in some cases we can also support with accessing the internet.
